Rudolf Lusar was a German engineer and author whose book German Secret Weapons of the Second World War (published in German in 1957 and in English in 1959) described alleged Nazi "flying disc" programs.
The Nazi saucer story

Lusar claimed German engineers, including Rudolf Schriever, Richard Miethe and others, built and tested saucer-shaped aircraft during the war. A U.S. Air Force intelligence group analysed his claims in 1958. Historians have found no evidence that such discs flew, and see his account as based on rumour. His book nevertheless helped create the enduring legend of Nazi flying saucers.
