Jack Pickett was an aviation journalist who, with a retired military pilot, said he saw disc-shaped craft with U.S. Air Force markings at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida, in 1966–67.
The claim
Pickett said the craft were displayed in a hangar and that he was allowed to photograph them, though the photos were not released. The account is often cited by researchers who believe the U.S. developed its own saucer-shaped aircraft, sometimes called "alien reproduction vehicles". It has not been confirmed, and no photographs have appeared.
