Jesse Marcel Jr. (1936–2013) was an American physician, an Army National Guard flight surgeon who served in Iraq, and the son of Maj. Jesse Marcel, the intelligence officer at Roswell in 1947.
His account
Marcel Jr. said that in July 1947, when he was 10, his father woke him and his mother late at night to show them debris he was taking from the Foster ranch. He described thin metal foil, black plastic-like pieces and an I-beam with symbols like hieroglyphics. He repeated the account consistently for decades and wrote The Roswell Legacy (2008). His son later said the family had kept unusual debris.
