In his book Chameleo: A Strange but True Story of Invisible Spies, Heroin Addiction, and Homeland Security (2015), Guffey describes how a friend said a Marine deserter told him about secret UFO material and invisibility technology, and how the friend was then harassed by security agencies. Guffey presents it as a true story, but its claims cannot be checked.
