Description

My family and I often look up into the sky at night. We live in the middle of nowhere (country) so we have no light pollution. We always watch the space events ; comets, aurora, meteor showers, starlink, etc. I say this because what we saw tonight may have been none of those.

My wife and I both saw this tonight,( driving in separate vehicles)at about 7:00pm in the north east sky. Our daughter was the first to notice and asked "what the heck is that." My wife took these photos, one night time and one regular shot. I can't see any separation in the "rod" and with the naked eye it looked pretty much like the standard pic.

I was about 4 min behind my wife when this occured and by the time I noticed it and stopped it sort of faded away/blinked out before I thought to snap a pic.
