Description
The Phoenix Lights incident refers to a series of unidentified flying object (UFO) sightings that occurred on the night of March 13, 1997, in the skies over Phoenix, Arizona, and the surrounding areas.
Initial Sightings: Between approximately 7:30 PM and 10:30 PM, thousands of people reported seeing a triangular or V-shaped formation of lights moving silently across the sky. Witnesses described the lights as amber or orange in color. Some reported the lights as separate orbs, while others perceived a solid object.
Official Explanations: Initially, the U.S. Air Force suggested that the sightings were caused by military flares released during a training exercise at the Barry Goldwater Range near Phoenix. However, this explanation did not fully satisfy all witnesses and UFO enthusiasts due to the large size and shape of the reported object.
