This just happened 9/26/25 at 9:38ET.

Location is St. Petersburg Florida. My phone is pointing west towards the gulf.

My iPhone doesn’t do it justice- this thing stayed over the gulf contorting for about 20 minutes. I KNOW I can’t be the only person who saw it.

Initially when I saw it, I genuinely thought it was a missle- once it became evident it wasn’t, I began to film.

Once it got more visible (not masked by clouds) , it literally looked like a fiery serpent and then contorted in a bizarre way that I can’t describe with words- I feel like it almost was spiraling? Its brightness grew and subsided periodically and eventually it grew so bright and got so confined into what appeared to be a figure with a halo over it.

I know this all sounds bizarre; I really believe someone else in St. Petersburg filmed this- it lit up the entire sky. I’m looking for someone to debunk this honestly it freaked me out.
