Description

I took this video in Portland on Jan 6th of this year. It was around 1 am and I was getting ready for bed when I noticed the moving flashing lights out the window. By the time I started filming it had stopped moving. It hovered in the location you see in the video for at least 5 minutes before heading back in the direction it came (south).

You might be asking “Why did you wait so long to post this?”. Well, I did something stupid. I don’t take videos very often and in the recent iOS update they introduced a pause button in the bottom left corner of the screen. When I turned the phone to landscape orientation I accidentally pressed the pause button. The UI of the paused and non-paused states are very similar, and I didn’t notice that it was paused. So I thought I had filmed the entire encounter, including it moving away, when in fact I did not. It was a very shameful boomer moment.

The sighting was during the height of the drone craze, and I was very tempted to post it regardless of my f*ck up, but I didn’t want to be one of those guys that we all hate, which is someone that posts a small part of an entire encounter.

I changed my mind today after revisiting the video because I’m still very curious about the drone’s bizarre flashing light pattern. The color changing lights are nothing extraordinary, but the pattern of going completely dark then flashing a bright white seemed very strange and unique to me. Even more strange, you can see a less bright light next to the drone that appears to be flashing in unison. I thought that surely the second light was just a reflection off something, but what would that something be? A cloud? Fog?

Anyway, let me know what y’all think. I figured we could use a break from underwhelming disclosure posts, so here is an underwhelming amateur UAP video.
