Eric Weinstein (born 1965) is an American mathematician and economist with a doctorate from Harvard, who served as managing director of Thiel Capital and hosts The Portal podcast.
Views on physics and UAP
Weinstein argues that progress in fundamental physics has stalled and has suggested this may partly be due to Cold War-era secrecy and the restriction of certain research. He has proposed his own unified theory of physics, called "Geometric Unity", which has not been accepted by physicists. In February 2023, according to the Timeline, he speculated that private financial firms might hold mathematical advances relevant to gravity. He has called for serious discussion of UAP and of what governments may know, but his views are speculative.
