According to Jacques Vallée's journals, on 8 May 2000 Vallée, physicist Eric Davis and Hal Puthoff discussed a former employee of the defence contractor TRW who said she had been part of a secret reverse-engineering project called "Zodiac". An attorney friend of hers had gathered her testimony.[1]

The journal entries

On 22 March 2000 Vallée recorded that Davis had spoken openly about his efforts to find a woman who had worked at TRW around the time of Roswell and might confirm crash data. At the 8 May meeting Vallée wrote that Davis had compiled his own file, but that it did not lead to the verifiable hard facts they needed. On 3 March 2001 Davis retold the Zodiac story at Joe Firmage's home, naming real people including Jerry Rosenberg and Dale Graff.[1]

TRW, later bought by Northrop Grumman, appears repeatedly in UFO rumours. In 1998 a series of UFO Magazine articles by "Greg Halifax" described a CIA-linked recovery program called Zodiac, which Puthoff believed were lightly fictionalised.[1]

Later claims

Notes attributed to Davis and dated October 2002 say the TRW witness's account was found credible. Researchers have suggested names for the witness and her lawyer, but neither has confirmed it, and no one has publicly interviewed her.[1]

The woman's identity and claims were never made public or verified.[1]
