"Mary Elizabeth Elliot" is the name researchers have linked to a former TRW employee said to have taken part in a secret reverse-engineering program called "Zodiac". Her identity has never been confirmed.[1]
Background

According to Jacques Vallée's journals, in March 2000 physicist Eric Davis was looking for a woman who had worked at TRW around the time of Roswell, and in May 2000 Davis, Hal Puthoff and Vallée discussed a former TRW employee whose attorney friend had gathered her testimony that she had worked on Zodiac. Vallée noted that Davis's file did not yet lead to verifiable hard facts.[1]
The name
Researcher Keith Basterfield, piecing together mentions of Davis's work, wrote that a woman named Mary Elizabeth Elliot appears to have told her story to attorney Jeffrey W. Griffith, and that the Wilson–Davis notes of October 2002 say the witness's account was found credible. Researcher Richard Dolan suggested that the author of 1998 UFO Magazine articles about Zodiac, writing as "Greg Halifax", was probably a corporate lawyer for TRW.[1]
Inquiries
Researchers have tried to confirm the identification through their contacts. Griffith has not publicly confirmed representing Elliot or writing as Halifax, and no one has located or interviewed her.[1]
Assessment
The inability to verify names in the Wilson–Davis notes is one reason their authenticity remains disputed.[1]
