Mathew Bevan is a Welsh computer hacker who was arrested in June 1996 at age 21 for breaking into U.S. military and NASA computer systems, including at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
The UFO connection
Bevan said he was searching for evidence of secret UFO and anti-gravity projects. The intrusions, investigated alongside those of another young hacker, were described by U.S. officials as a serious security threat. The case against Bevan was dropped in 1997. His case predated the more famous one of Gary McKinnon, who also hacked U.S. systems looking for UFO evidence.
