Norton AFB UFO files claim — A couple tells Vallée they saw a large collection of UFO files at Norton AFB in 1985.
According to Jacques Vallée's journals, at a 2002 gathering at the home of NASA scientist Richard Haines, founder of the National Aviation Reporting Center on Anomalous Phenomena (NARCAP), a couple told Vallée they had seen a large cache of UFO and underwater-object files at Norton Air Force Base in California in 1985.
Norton was home to the Air Force Audiovisual Service and other units, and has featured in several UFO stories, including the claimed 1988 display of secret aircraft described by Mark McCandlish. The base closed in 1994.
The claim is second-hand and unconfirmed, and no records of such files at Norton have been released.
