Puerto Rico underwater object — Elizondo describes a helicopter crew seeing a dark object underwater near Puerto Rico.
In 2022, Luis Elizondo described a reported underwater encounter near Puerto Rico. According to his account, a Navy helicopter crew recovering a missile after a test saw a large dark object moving in the water below them.
Puerto Rico has a long history of reported UAP, including the December 1988 Cabo Rojo sightings, and the U.S. Navy operated test ranges in the Caribbean for decades. Elizondo didn't give a date for the encounter.
No Navy record has been released. The account adds to a growing body of reports about underwater objects, which Congress has asked AARO to examine.
