The 2015 email

In written testimony to Congress, Gallaudet said that in January 2015, while he led the Navy's meteorology and oceanography command, he received an email from the operations officer of Fleet Forces Command during a pre-deployment exercise of the USS Theodore Roosevelt carrier strike group. He said the email included the video now known as "GoFast", showing an object whose flight he believed was unlike anything in the U.S. arsenal, and that the next day it disappeared from his account and those of the other recipients and was never discussed again. No independent record has confirmed the deletion. A Pentagon analysis later concluded that the GoFast object was not moving very fast and so was not anomalous; Gallaudet criticised it for not interviewing the aviator who recorded the footage.[2][3]

Gallaudet testified at the House Oversight hearing of 13 November 2024 alongside Luis Elizondo, Michael Gold and Michael Shellenberger, urging greater government transparency. He has said he saw footage of UAP and of unidentified submerged objects while on active duty. He sits on the advisory board of Americans for Safe Aerospace and is a research affiliate of Avi Loeb's Galileo Project.[1][4]
