Remote viewers and a military trial anomaly (1984) — Alleged CIA documents describe the Army's remote viewers studying an anomaly during military trials.

Declassified documents from the U.S. remote-viewing program, now in the CIA's online Stargate collection, show that in 1984 the Army's remote viewers were sometimes tasked to describe anomalous events, including incidents during classified military tests.

According to the testimony, documents from May 1984 describe viewers studying an anomaly that occurred during military trials. The testimony calls them "alleged" CIA documents, because their context and provenance aren't fully clear, though many Stargate documents are genuine and publicly available.

The Stargate files include a number of UFO-related sessions, in which viewers were asked about unidentified objects or targets. Critics see these as showing how loosely the program was run, while supporters see them as evidence of official interest in UFOs during the 1980s.
