White Sands tracking-camera saucer claim — A retired sergeant says tracking cameras recorded a saucer resting on the White Sands range.

According to a retired Air Force sergeant quoted in Leonard Stringfield's Status Report VI (July 1991), high-speed tracking cameras at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico once recorded a saucer-shaped craft resting on the ground of the range. He said the film was taken away and classified.

The account was republished by Linda Moulton Howe in 2004, behind a paywall. White Sands' tracking cameras did photograph unidentified objects in the early 1950s, which is documented in Air Force records, and stories of a landing there in 1956 have circulated for decades. This specific account is unverified and the sergeant isn't named.
