Will Miller on senior officials kept in the dark — A retired Navy commander says senior officials are kept away from UAP knowledge.
Will Miller was a retired Navy commander who had held a Top Secret clearance and became involved in UFO research. According to the testimony, he told lawyer Peter Gersten that senior officials, such as a director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, were deliberately kept out of the loop on UFO knowledge, and that the real "keepers of the secrets" were mid-level Defense Department officials and contractors.
Miller also spoke to journalist Leslie Kean, who wrote about UFO secrecy in The Boston Globe in 2000. His view mirrors a long-running theme: that secret programs might be compartmented so tightly that even senior officials are unaware of them.
That idea later featured prominently in the 2020s, when officials like former Pentagon intelligence official Luis Elizondo and whistleblower David Grusch said programs were hidden from Congress and senior leaders. Miller's specific claims aren't documented.
