Nevada weapons storage orb (2002) — A three-foot orb is reported moving along fences at a Nevada nuclear weapons storage area.

According to the testimony, in October 2002 security personnel reported a glowing orb about three feet across moving along the fences of a nuclear weapons storage area in Nevada. The site is usually identified as "Area 2", a triple-fenced compound on the Nellis range, visible at night from Interstate 15 north of Las Vegas.

The testimony's source is Robert Hastings's book UFOs and Nukes. Separately, former security officers have told reporter George Knapp's Mystery Wire about UFOs and strange intruders around the Area 2 bunkers, including a shadowy humanoid figure, and said commanders told them the incidents never happened.

The specific 2002 orb report has no published primary source, such as an incident log, and the witnesses aren't named in public records. It fits the long pattern of reports of unknown objects at U.S. nuclear facilities.
