Puthoff's "front door" attempt — Lockheed's Bernard Haisch says Puthoff tried official channels to reach a secret UFO program.
According to Jacques Vallée's journals, in September 2003 Lockheed Martin scientist Bernard Haisch told him that Hal Puthoff had tried the "front door", writing to officials through official channels, to gain access to a suspected secret UFO program, without success.
Haisch, an astrophysicist, had worked with Puthoff on the zero-point field theory of inertia and was himself interested in UFOs. He later founded the website ufoskeptic.org, arguing for open-minded study of the subject.
Similar access attempts are described in the Wilson/Davis notes, in which Adm. Thomas Wilson supposedly tried to get into a contractor's program and was refused. Neither attempt is documented in official records.
