In October 2022 the Canadian UFO researcher Grant Cameron published UFO Sky Pilots: Pilots of Peace and Oneness. It is a collection of accounts from people who say they have piloted UFOs, often by a mental connection with the craft rather than physical controls.[2][4] Cameron said the project began in 2013, when an elderly woman approached him claiming she had flown one.[3] The book reflects his turn, after what he describes as a "mental download" in 2012, from "nuts and bolts" research to the role of consciousness in UFO experiences.[2] The accounts are personal and anecdotal. None has been verified, and the people involved generally cannot be identified.[2][3]

The book

According to its listing, the book was published on 20 October 2022 by Itsallconnected Publishing, at about 185 pages (ISBN 979-8359225410).[2] It sits within a run of Cameron's books on consciousness and contact, including Contact Modalities: The Keys to the Universe, Managing Magic: The Government's UFO Disclosure Plan and Breakthrough: The Psilocybin School.[2] The text was not available to read. Its contents are known here only from the listing and from interviews Cameron gave about it.[2][3][4]

The accounts

Cameron discussed the book on an episode of the Alien UFO Podcast titled "Humans Piloting UFOs".[3] In an interview with Jimmy Church on Gaia's Into the Vortex, titled "UAPs Piloted by Consciousness", the programme summarised his argument:[4]

  • The pilot is the key. The real secret of UAP may lie "in the interface between the pilot and the machine". Propulsion is "inextricably linked to the mental state" of the operator.
  • Telepathic piloting. "Consciousness-assisted propulsion" replaces steering wheels and thrusters.
  • Psychic operators. The Defense Department has allegedly studied people with "high psychic aptitude", particularly women and remote viewers, as operators for recovered craft.
  • Corroboration. He cites the disputed 2002 "Wilson–Davis" notes and David Grusch's congressional testimony as supporting reports of humans interfacing with non-human technology.
  • Preparing the public. Material from organisations such as Disney and NASA might be part of an effort to prepare people for consciousness-driven technology.

The podcast and programme pages give no names for the pilots, and no documents are cited that could be checked.[3][4]

Grant Cameron

Cameron's author biography describes his background:[2]

  • Beginnings. He became involved in ufology in May 1975, after his own sightings of a light that became known locally as "Charlie Red Star".
  • Canada. He spent a decade researching the Canadian government's early flying-saucer work under Wilbert B. Smith.
  • Presidents. He spent almost three decades on the role of U.S. presidents in the UFO mystery, published on his Presidents UFO website.
  • Recognition. He received researcher-of-the-year awards from the Leeds conference and the UFO Congress. He was one of 40 witnesses at the "Citizen's Hearing on Disclosure" before six former members of Congress in Washington and has appeared often on Coast to Coast AM.
  • Consciousness. After a "mental download event" on 26 February 2012, he turned to the role of consciousness in UFOs. That work extended to inspiration in music, science, savants and near-death experiences.

His earlier books include UFOs, Area 51, and Government Informants (co-authored) and Alien Bedtime Stories.[2] His Presidents UFO website, presidentialufo.com, once held much of his research. The domain now displays an unrelated online gambling page.[1]

Context

The book belongs to a strand of UFO writing that treats the phenomenon as bound up with consciousness rather than purely mechanical craft.[2][4] Cameron's framing connects these accounts to claims by government insiders about recovered craft. He reads the claims as suggesting that human operators with particular mental abilities are needed to fly them.[4]

Assessment

The book collects self-reported experiences, published by a small press and not subject to independent checking. The people described are not publicly identified, so their accounts cannot be tested.[2][3] The government programs Cameron links them to are themselves unconfirmed. The Wilson–Davis notes are of disputed authenticity, and Grusch's claims of crash-retrieval programs have not been publicly substantiated.[4]
