John Ramirez on a Navy compartment — A retired CIA official describes a Navy compartment as sensitive as the Manhattan Project.

John Ramirez was a CIA officer from 1984 to 2009 who worked on missile defence and signals intelligence. In a two-part interview with Podcast UFO in December 2022, he said he had heard of a highly compartmented Navy effort, possibly UAP-related, that was described as being as sensitive as the Manhattan Project, and spoke of internal CIA interest in UAP.

Ramirez said his statements were based on recollections and rumours he heard during his career, rather than direct knowledge of the program. He had earlier said he never encountered a formal CIA UAP program.

None of his claims has been confirmed. He has since made more dramatic statements about personal experiences, which remain unverified.
