Coral Lorenzen (1925–1988) was an American UFO researcher who co-founded the Aerial Phenomena Research Organization (APRO) with her husband, Jim Lorenzen, in 1952 in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.
APRO

APRO became one of the leading civilian UFO groups, known for gathering scientific consultants and investigating cases worldwide, especially in Latin America. Lorenzen edited the APRO Bulletin and wrote several books, including The Great Flying Saucer Hoax (1962) and, with her husband, Encounters with UFO Occupants (1976). Unlike some groups, APRO was willing to study reports of beings and abductions, including the 1975 Travis Walton case. She reported her own sighting in 1934. APRO closed in 1988, the year she died.
