Richard Hall (1930–2009) was an American UFO researcher who served for many years as assistant director and acting director of NICAP, the leading civilian UFO group of the 1950s and 1960s.
Work
Hall edited The UFO Evidence (1964), a large and influential compilation of credible reports, presented to Congress to support calls for hearings, and a second volume in 2001. He also wrote Uninvited Guests (1988) and Alien Encounters. Hall reported that jet gun-camera films of UFOs were routinely sent to the CIA, based on his sources. He was known as a careful researcher who rejected obvious hoaxes.
