W. Todd Zechel was an American researcher who co-founded Citizens Against UFO Secrecy (CAUS) in 1977.
Work
Zechel claimed to have worked for the National Security Agency, a claim later questioned by other researchers. He played a key part in the Freedom of Information Act campaign that pushed the CIA to release about 900 pages of UFO documents in 1978. With other researchers, he claimed the CIA had run emergency UFO studies during sighting waves and secretly funded certain researchers. He later investigated other topics, including the 1965 Kecksburg incident.
