Frederick Benthal was a U.S. Army photographer who said that in July 1947 he was flown from Washington to Roswell to photograph crash debris and alien bodies.

Benthal's claim was published in 1994. He said he and a colleague photographed bodies in a tent near the crash site and that the film was taken from them. His account is one of many collected about Roswell, though it is uncorroborated and some researchers doubt it. It forms part of the larger and disputed set of witness claims about bodies.
