Wesley Clark (born 1944) is a retired U.S. Army four-star general who served as NATO's Supreme Allied Commander Europe from 1997 to 2000, leading the 1999 Kosovo campaign. He was a Rhodes Scholar and ran for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2004.
Faster-than-light comment

During the 2004 campaign, a voter in New Hampshire asked Clark about space exploration, and he said he believed that, with the right understanding of physics, humans could one day travel faster than light. The remark was widely reported and sometimes linked to UFO speculation. Clark said he was speaking about science and human potential, not UFOs, and he has not claimed knowledge of secret programs.
