Clements McMullen (1892–1959) was a U.S. Air Force major general. In July 1947 he was deputy commander of Strategic Air Command, based at Andrews Field near Washington, D.C., with authority over bomber units including the 509th Bomb Group at Roswell.

In a 1991 affidavit, retired Gen. Thomas DuBose, who in 1947 was chief of staff to Gen. Roger Ramey in Fort Worth, said that McMullen telephoned him and ordered that the Roswell debris be sent to Washington and the matter kept quiet, and that the weather balloon shown to reporters was a cover story. McMullen died in 1959, long before this claim emerged, so he never addressed it. Skeptics note DuBose's account came 44 years later.
