Disguised UFO sensor network claim — Kit Green says hidden UAP sensors were disguised as environmental monitoring stations.
According to Jacques Vallée's journals, in March 2002 Kit Green told him that while he was at the CIA he learned of a sensor network that tracked UFOs but was disguised as environmental monitoring equipment.
No documents confirming such a network have been released. Environmental and scientific monitoring stations are common, and some government sensor networks, such as those that detect nuclear tests, are legitimately designed to look for unusual events.
The claim fits a recurring idea in UFO research, that the government collects UFO data through systems presented as something else. In the 2020s, the Pentagon's AARO said it was working to build a dedicated sensor capability to detect UAP, which suggests such a network didn't openly exist before.
