John B. Alexander (born 1937) is a retired U.S. Army colonel who championed unconventional research. He worked on "non-lethal weapons" at Los Alamos and was involved in the Army's interest in psychic research and human performance in the 1980s.
UFO work
In 1985 Alexander organized an informal group of officials and scientists, known as the Advanced Theoretical Physics working group, to look into UFOs; he says it found no hidden program. He later worked with NIDS and wrote UFOs: Myths, Conspiracies, and Realities (2011), which argues that no single secret program controls the subject.
