Project Grudge data and the artifact file — A BAASS team member is said to be retrieving old Project Grudge data from Area 51.

According to Jacques Vallée's journals, in January 2009 Colm Kelleher, deputy administrator of BAASS, told him that a BAASS team member hoped to retrieve old data from the Project Grudge era (1949–51) and an "artifact" file supposedly kept separate from Project Blue Book. Hal Puthoff also mentioned retired Adm. Edward Burkhalter, a former director of the Intelligence Community Staff.

The idea that important records and physical material were kept apart from Blue Book has a long history, supported by the 1969 Bolender memo and by researchers who found gaps in Blue Book's files.

The results of these efforts were never made public. If the data was retrieved, it hasn't been released through AAWSAP's FOIA disclosures.
