Dwight D. Eisenhower (1890–1969) was the Supreme Allied Commander in Europe during World War II and the 34th President of the United States from 1953 to 1961. His presidency saw the creation of NASA, the U-2 spy plane program and the growth of Area 51.
In UFO lore

The first Majestic-12 document is a "briefing" dated 18 November 1952, addressed to Eisenhower as president-elect, describing crashed saucers and the MJ-12 group. Most researchers consider it a forgery. A popular legend says Eisenhower met aliens at Muroc (now Edwards Air Force Base) in February 1954, when he was reported to be at a dentist; no evidence supports this. Eisenhower's farewell warning about the "military-industrial complex" is often quoted by people who believe secret programs escaped oversight.
