Husband and I were driving this afternoon around 2:15 when I looked out and saw what I thought was a parachute, only to discover there was no person attached and it was not moving like a parachute. It was cylindrical, dark in color and eventually we got underneath it and realized it was sort of reflecting the sun.

Is there a valid logical identification of this object? Hubby thought duct work that got away but why is it so darn high? It didn’t move like it was caught in the wind either, just sort of hovered and oscillated back and forth from horizontal to vertical. Logical explanations welcome or tell me what you think.
