Niemtzow declines McDonnell study — A retired colonel tells Vallée he declined to join a secret McDonnell UAP study.
According to Jacques Vallée's journals, in January 2002 retired Air Force physician Richard Niemtzow told him that in the 1970s he had been invited to join a private UFO study at McDonnell Douglas, but turned it down.
The entry fits other accounts of McDonnell Douglas's quiet interest in UFOs, including Robert Wood's in-house study in the late 1960s and Kit Green's 1974 remark about a group of engineers in the Midwest.
No company documents about a 1970s study have been released, and Niemtzow's account is a private conversation recorded by Vallée.
