Valdamar Valerian's Matrix books — A writer using a pseudonym publishes books claiming 'grey aliens' are involved in human affairs.

In the early 1990s, a writer using the pseudonym Valdamar Valerian, reportedly a man named John Grace, published a series of self-produced books called Matrix through his Leading Edge Research Group. The books compiled material from many sources, including the 1980s disinformation stories, abduction accounts and alleged whistleblower testimony, and claimed that grey aliens and reptilian beings were secretly controlling or manipulating humanity.

The books became influential in conspiracy circles, especially their idea that the Earth is a kind of prison or trap for human souls, an idea the testimony notes is echoed by later groups such as the Farsight Institute's remote viewers and resembles ancient Gnostic beliefs. Robert Monroe, founder of the Monroe Institute, which trained Army remote viewers, wrote about similar themes.

The Matrix books have no reliable sourcing and are regarded as conspiracy literature. They're included in the testimony as part of the history of how UFO ideas spread and mutated in the 1990s.
