John Podesta (born 1949) is an American political adviser who served as White House Chief of Staff to President Bill Clinton (1998–2001), counsellor to President Barack Obama, and chairman of Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign.
UFO interest

Podesta has supported releasing government UFO records for decades. In 2002 he spoke at a press event calling for the declassification of UFO files, and in 2015 he said that one of his biggest regrets was not securing the disclosure of UFO files. Emails from his account, released by WikiLeaks in 2016, included messages with musician Tom DeLonge about UFO meetings with officials and with others about disclosure.
