Bill Clinton (born 1946) was the 42nd President of the United States (1993–2001). His administration oversaw a large declassification effort, and his adviser John Podesta pushed for UFO-related openness.
UFO connections

Clinton joked in interviews that he had asked about Roswell and aliens and found nothing. Laurance Rockefeller lobbied the White House in 1993–1995 for UFO disclosure, and Clinton's science adviser John Gibbons met with Rockefeller. Webb Hubbell, a Justice Department official, said Clinton asked him to look into UFOs and JFK.
