UFO statements

Cooper said that as a pilot in Germany in 1951 he saw groups of metallic discs, and that in 1957 a film crew at Edwards Air Force Base filmed a disc landing on the lake bed, which was sent to Washington. In November 1978 he wrote a letter supporting the UN discussion of UFOs. He described his views in his memoir Leap of Faith (2000).
