Ronald Reagan (1911–2004) was the 40th President of the United States (1981–1989). He said he and his wife had seen a UFO in the 1970s while he was governor of California, according to a pilot who flew him.
Alien threat remarks

In speeches, including one at the United Nations in 1987, and in talks with Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev, Reagan suggested that a threat from outer space would unite humanity. UFO writers have read these remarks as hints of secret knowledge, though most historians see them as a rhetorical device. He also launched the Strategic Defense Initiative in 1983.
