1992 in UFO history — the UAP Timeline records 8 events in 1992, mostly about beings & bodies and secrecy & cover-up. People named in these events include Albert Stubblebine, Ed Dames, Robert Byrd, Christopher Mellon, Dan Sherman.

Overview

In 1992 Stanton Friedman and Don Berliner published Crash at Corona, which introduced new witnesses and expanded the Roswell narrative.[1] That year Russian researcher Eugene Podkletnov claimed that a fast-spinning superconductor reduced gravity. Many attempts to reproduce the result have failed.[2]

On 22 May Senate Appropriations Committee counsel Richard D'Amato told Jacques Vallée that he had looked into triangular craft like those seen in Belgium. He believed they were human-made and that the program building them was illegal because "no money was ever appropriated for it."[3] On 22 December the British embassy in Washington reported to London on U.S. reactions to triangular sightings, including a 1989 report by Royal Observer Corps member Chris Gibson of a triangular craft refuelling from a KC-135 tanker.[4] See black triangle.

Several entries come from the remote-viewing world. On 9 March Steven Greer said that at a conference he was taken into a hotel room with retired Major General Albert Stubblebine and people he described as linked to covert programs.[5] Former Army remote viewer Ed Dames claimed a company had asked his firm Psi-Tech to do "anti-gravity work."[5] Stubblebine allegedly said that structures existed beneath the surface of Mars.[6] Dan Sherman said that from 1992 to 1995 his training as an NSA signals analyst was cover for work as an "intuitive communicator" with extraterrestrials.[5] Other entries include a claimed crash at Southaven Park on Long Island on 24 November.[4] The timeline also notes claims by Michael Riconosciuto, a source for journalist Danny Casolaro, about secret software.[3]
