Franklin Mead is an American aerospace engineer who worked for many years at the Air Force Research Laboratory's propulsion directorate at Edwards Air Force Base, California, where he was a senior scientist for advanced concepts.
Advanced propulsion
Mead managed studies of unusual propulsion ideas, including beamed-energy propulsion and antimatter. He commissioned physicist Eric Davis's 2004 Teleportation Physics Study for the Air Force, which reviewed scientific and claimed psychic teleportation. He also edited work on future propulsion needs. These reports are often cited in UFO discussions as signs of official interest in exotic physics.
