Above Black: Project Preserve Destiny — Insider Account of Alien Contact and Government Cover-up is a 1997 book by former U.S. Air Force sergeant Dan Sherman, who claims he took part in a secret program to communicate telepathically with extraterrestrials on behalf of the U.S. government.[1][2]
Content
Sherman describes receiving telepathic messages from beings he identified as "Greys", two of whom he nicknamed "Spock" and "Bones", under a program called Project Preserve Destiny, which he presents as an official channel for communicating with extraterrestrials.[1][2]
Reception
The book has remained in print and has been widely discussed in UFO and paranormal media, but its claims are unconfirmed. No official record or other participant has corroborated the program it describes, and an Air Force response to a Freedom of Information request reportedly said it had no knowledge of it.[2][3]
